SpamTermino performs a variety of antispam checks to catch most of the spam. Each incoming mail goes through a variety of tests and the Spam mails are separated from the legit mails. While the legit mails are delivered to the user’s mailboxes, the spam mails are moved to the Quarantine Area.

Bayesian filtering |

SpamTermino adopts the Bayesian Filtering technique to identify spam from all the incoming emails in the server. Bayesian filtering is the most common and the most reliable technique of mail filtering wherein each incoming email is scanned for the occurrences of characters and strings which amount to spam. |

Spamassassin provides various rulesets to identify different types of spam. Each day there are hundreds of new variants of spam developed by the spammers which are difficult to block. RBL checks against the major Blacklists database |

Apart from the Bayesian filtering, SpamTermino checks the IP addresses of the senders against the most common Blacklist databases and prevents emails from being received from the mail servers whose IP addresses are blacklisted. |
